Hurricane Planning for Pembroke Pines?

It’s Never Too Early
SERVPRO® of Pembroke Pines/West Miramar responds to storm damage emergencies throughout the year in Pembroke Pines. Heavy winds and rain can cause damage to a structure even with good planning.
The City of Pembroke Pines has a whole section of its website devoted to severe weather. One section covers hurricane preparedness and discusses the need to be prepared well in advance of hurricane season. This section provides relevant information to Pembroke Pines residents on what is happening in the city before, during, and after a storm and tells residents and business owners what they can do to prepare. It is also suggested that people develop a plan to make sure they have adequate supplies when a big storm hits, as supplies will become very limited when the storm comes in. Here is the first step for developing a hurricane plan from the City of Pembroke Pines website:
STEP 1
Hold a Family Meeting Discuss the hazards of hurricanes. Encourage children to talk about their fears and explain some of the things you’ll be doing to keep everyone safe. Start a written list of things you’ll need to take care of before hurricane season and encourage everyone in the family to contribute their ideas.
