 I didn’t realize how extensive the water damage was until I began to smell a bad, musty odor in my laundry room. I discovered that the window frame was cracked and leaking, and the water had been seeping down the window and onto the windowsill and into the drywall. There was a bubble of water in the drywall by the baseboard, and I knew I was in trouble. They repaired the cracked window frame, they removed the soggy drywall and water-logged insulation, and they completely cleaned, sanitized, and deodorized the room. They used a hygrometer to measure the extent of the moisture in the room and set up air dryers and air blowers to remove the excess moisture. Once everything was completely dry, they replaced the drywall, taped, and repainted. Now you can't even tell there had been a leak and a soggy wall!
